Chapter 16
Winston
I sit down on a wayward bench in the courtyard, pulling my jacket tighter around my shoulders. Itâs cooler today as September is coming to an end. I grab my phone out of my pocket and hit the video call button as I wait for Maddie to pick up.
I just got done with classes and figured Iâd call her before practice. She answers on the fourth ring, looking a bit disheveled. âHey, sorry. I forgot about our call.â I canât see her face, just the jarring movement of the background as she shuffles around. It takes a minute before she finally sits down, coming into view of the screen and giving me a bright smile. âBaby bro.â
âWell, hello to you, too. What are you up to?â
âJust trying to finish up Gracynâs room.â She turns the camera around, flashing me the array of pink and I smile, even more excited to meet my niece.
âLooks good. Shouldnât be much longer now.â
She sighs, bringing the camera back to her face. âSheâs being stubborn as hell. Iâve tried everything apart from caster oil to get her out. Exercise ball, eating spicy stuff, nipple stimulation, sex⦠Nothing's working.â
I make a gagging sound, shaking my head vehemently at her. âNo. No. No! Too much information. For the love of God, Maddie. Why?â
She shrugs, clearly no fucks given. âListen, my modesty at this point is almost nonexistent.â
I drag a hand down my face as I take in her response. âWell, your brother doesnât need to know certain things.â
âYeah, and Iâll probably feel bad about that information drop later, but right now I could give a fuck less. Iâm so uncomfortable, Iâm swollen⦠look!â she squeals in exaggeration and flips the camera back around to show me her legs. âI have fucking cankles!â
âTheyâre not so bad.â They are but I know better than to agree with her.
She flips the camera back around and shoots me an unamused glare. âI canât wear real shoes right now. Nothing is fitting. Itâs getting cold too. Oh my god, you thought Delaware was cold, you should come here,â she whines, lip popping out as she pouts.
âIâm good on that. Itâs going to be cold enough here, soon,â I say.
After several beats, she continues, âHow's Rhys?â
âHeâs good.â Really good actually. I expected being back at school would hinder our sexual relationship but if anything, itâs only gotten hotter⦠dirtier. I think about the library and what we did and bite the inside of my cheek as Iâm assaulted by the images.
Iâve never been so turned on in my life.
Maddie clears her throat, pulling me from my thoughts, and I shift on the bench, trying to adjust my growing erection. Damn, so not what needs to be happening when Iâm on the phone with my sister.
âYeah, is he dating anyone?â she asks and I feel my whole face flush at her question. Jesus, itâs like sheâs a damn mind reader or something
âWhat? Why would you ask that?â Really, Win? I chastise myself for my stutter.
